Fuel additive to lower the cold flow point of diesel fuel

Eurol Diesel Flow Improver is an additive developed to enhance cold flow properties of diesel for cold climates in order to avoid diesel flow problems during winter conditions. When the fuel temperature reaches the cloud point, the paraffin which is present in diesel fuel begins to form wax crystals. These crystals flow with the fuel and coat the filter element, as a consequence this quickly reduces the fuel flow, starving the engine. Eurol Diesel Flow Improver is an excellent cold flow improver by modifying wax crystal formation at low temperatures for both high and low sulfur diesels fuels. High sulfur diesel fuel has different cold flow characteristics than its successor, low sulfur diesel. A diesel fuel that is not tailored to low temperatures will require the addition of Eurol Diesel Flow Improver to keep the engine from fuel starvation. Eurol Diesel Flow Improver significantly lowers the temperature at which waxes clump together, which keeps the fuel flowing through the filter. This will allow you to keep driving in winter. Eurol Diesel Flow Improver is formulated to dissolve when it is mixed with diesel fuel, as long as it is added to the diesel fuel before the fuel reaches its cloud point. A 250ml bottle of Eurol Diesel Flow Improver is recommended for use in 35L to 65L of fuel. Most fuel producers add a small quantity of these kind of chemicals in the required quantities to the diesel fuel they sell to achieve the necessary protection during the colder months. The amount of cold flow improvers added by the fuel company, however, has been tailored to the country in which the fuel will be sold.
