Eurol partnership with skilled teams in the Dakar Rally
Eurol Rally Sport Aims for the Title
As the main sponsor of the Dutch truck team Eurol Rally Sport, we enter the second year with high expectations. The team, led by the 21-year-old Mitchel van den Brink and his father Martin van den Brink, has two own Iveco trucks. Mitchel and Martin, who last year impressively finished third and fourth in the overall standings and won several stages, are also setting their sights on the Dakar title this year.
Change at the Toyota factory team
Toyota GAZOO Racing, now without the Dakar 2023 winner Nasser Al Attiyah and the injured Henk Lategan, is making a strong comeback with five Toyota Hilux T1+ cars in the starting field. Eurol provides technical support to the South African drivers of the team; former Dakar winner Giniel de Villiers, the South African cross-country series racer Guy Botterill, and the rookie Saood Variawa.
Expansion of Technical Collaboration
The technical collaboration extends further to the Dutch Jongbloed Dakar Team (formerly Riwald Dakar Team), with driver Gert Huzink in a newly built hybrid Renault C460 truck from MKR Racing. Gert Huzink is a contender for a stage victory and perhaps a high ranking in the overall standings. Eurol also supports the Belgian RTS racing, with experienced driver Dave Ingels in a MAN truck.
First-Class Support
The Dakar teams are provided with products from our Specialty racing line, supplemented with coolants and a range of Specialty products, including cleaners and greases. In addition, the teams rely on our extensive knowledge and experience in the field of lubrication in the rally and racing world. During the rally, we regularly perform sample collections, which continuously elevate our level of knowledge. This helps us to constantly improve the quality of all Eurol products, benefiting all our customers.
